About Me

My name is Gerard Mutabazi Amani. I was born in Uvira, Democratic Republic of the Congo and spent many years with family in a number of Refugee camps across Southern Africa before settling in Cape Town, South Africa. Life was never easy growing up as Refugees, but we never lost hope. At times we would go the whole day without eating anything. We resettled as Refugees in Edmonton, Canada in 2008.

After my trip to Russia in August of 2014 on International Youth Forum, I self-published a small book sharing the experience and highlighting other youth work I have done. The book is called Tavrida 2014: Young Leaders in Action, Shaping the Future and you can CLICK HERE . I hold a diploma (2014) and Bachelor’s Degree (2016) in Business Administration with emphasis in Management from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

The reason this website is called Humanity Seed is because I believe that when you help Humanity, you plant a seed. Thanks for visiting and God bless!
