Started From the Bottom (Once a #Refugee)

In the famous and popular words of Mother Teresa, “Life is a gift. Live it.” Ever since arriving in Canada in September of 2008, I have been living my gift to the fullest and I thank the Lord for everything.

I have been honored throughout the years to attend youth conferences within and outside Canada and I have dedicated my time, energy and money for the betterment of humanity. In the summer of 2014 I had the opportunity to attend Tavrida International Youth Forum in Russia, Crimea. This was a 10 day Forum filled with laughter, worries, growth and discoveries. I had kept a journal during the Forum and I decided to turn the journal into a short book to share with the world about the time and experience with fellow passionate Young Leaders. The book is titled Tavrida 2014: Young Leaders in Action, Shaping the Future and I hope to publish it in January of 2015.

Throughout my travels, whether in US, Kenya, Burundi, around Canada, or Ethiopia, I have always kept notes of the events and developments and the journal from Russia is first one which have I decided to turn into a book. With this being my first book, I am very excited and looking forward to sharing with the world about the great and awesome times I had while in Crimea. Crimea is such a beautiful place and I was honored to have this kind of experience and I learned so much.

I invite you to stay tuned on the date of when the book will be published and I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed sharing. In the wise words of Maya Angelou “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

I love and enjoy writing and in the future I hope to publish books and articles.
